Also known as NN9535
A long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist peptide studied in incretin-pathway and metabolic-signaling research. Supplied as a documented reference standard.
Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist studied in incretin and metabolic-signaling research. It engages a single incretin receptor, which makes it a useful single-target reference against which dual- and triple-agonist peptides are compared.
It is an acylated GLP-1 analogue with a molecular weight of ~4,113.6 g/mol. The fatty-acid modification that extends its half-life also influences its analytical behaviour on reversed-phase columns.
See the GLP-1 pathway research overview and the broader incretin & GIP co-agonism article. Semaglutide is studied alongside the dual co-agonist tirzepatide and the triple agonist retatrutide.
Supplied lyophilised; reconstitution of incretin-class peptides is covered in reconstituting GLP-1 class peptides, with storage in lyophilised peptide stability.
Each lot is documented by HPLC purity, mass-spec identity and counter-ion content.
Semaglutide is a research-use-only reference standard, available to qualified researchers by enquiry. This entry describes mechanism and analytics only — not clinical use, and not for human or veterinary use.
Store lyophilised at -20 °C; reconstituted material at 2–8 °C within the analytical window.
Reconstituted purity tracked by HPLC over the storage window.
Research use only — All products and content are intended strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use. Not for human or veterinary use, not for consumption, and not for any diagnostic or therapeutic purpose.
Available to qualified researchers by enquiry. See the pathway overview for mechanism context.
